I am a graduate of the University of Rochester School of Nursing, Rochester, New York, and have been a registered nurse for over twenty-five years. I work in a trauma unit and find great joy in watching my patients make progress. It's always a pleasure to see them recover physically, but even more rewarding to witness them regain emotional, mental, and spiritual balance. That's why holistic well-being, inspirational writings, or any tool of encouragement are of the utmost importance to me.
I have always loved the arts, alongside my passion for nursing. For many years, I thought the two interests were worlds apart, but as I grew older, I realized how seamlessly they could merge. Nursing influences my art, and art supports my nursing practice.
It has always been my desire to create a short allegory that reflects a journey, and I believe I have accomplished that with this book. I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I have enjoyed writing it.
I have also published four short stories: Nurse Ryan and Swift, The Eagle and the Pigeons, The Quiet Pit Bull, and A Feather in the Wind. These were included in Cozy Nighttime Stories: An Anthology, edited by Larry Parr in 2011. I currently reside in Texas with my husband and daughter.
